President's Message

Greetings and welcome to the digital home of the East St Louis Alumnae Chapter (ESLAC) of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. Thank you for visiting us.
We are a sisterhood of college-educated women committed to providing public service programming and advocating for the St. Clair and Madison County communities we serve.
ESLAC was founded in 1942 by nine dynamic young women from our community and we continue to honor their vision, enthusiasm, and commitment to meaningful service. For 84 years, we have remained faithful to the ideals of our beloved Sorority while staying present, engaged, and active in the communities we serve.
We are rooted In Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service and Social Action and guided by the Sorority’s Five-Point Programmatic Thrust in the areas of Economic Development, Educational Development, International Awareness and Involvement, Physical and Mental Health, and Political Awareness and Involvement.
The ESLAC has built a legacy of unwavering service to the communities around us. Our impact is made possible through the collective work of passionate, purpose-driven Sorors who generously share their time, talent, and resources to keep that legacy strong. As professionals, educators, advocates, mentors, and leaders, we are united by a shared commitment to making a positive difference in the places where we live, work, and worship.
In the spirit of sisterhood and service, we collaborate with community partners to provide innovative public service programs for residents throughout our service area. We welcome opportunities to work with organizations that share our purpose and commitment to positive community impact. If you are interested in partnering with us on a program, please email president@dsteslac.org so we can discuss the possibilities.

Thank you again for visiting us. We invite you to explore our website to learn more about our programming, upcoming events and community service projects. Please check back regularly and follow us on our social media platforms.
